Landing Page Traffic but No Enquiries? A 10-Point Fix Checklist + Free Landing Page Conversion Scorecard (Word)
Traffic without enquiries does not automatically mean the ads failed. The break may sit between promise, trust, form effort, mobile usability and measurement—or enquiries may exist but not be recorded.
Google links landing-page experience to relevance, ease of navigation and visitor expectations. Diagnose the path before buying more traffic.
Find the weak layer in one minute
Layer | Common symptom | Verify first | Primary fix |
|---|---|---|---|
Message | Clicks leave quickly | Ad-to-hero promise | Rewrite audience and outcome |
Trust | Visitors stop before form | Evidence, scope and FAQ | Move proof near CTA |
Friction | Forms start but do not finish | Field count and mobile use | Reduce fields and fix errors |
Measurement | Sales sees leads; report does not | Events and success state | Track each route separately |
The 10-point conversion check
01 | Match the ad promise
Repeat the audience, outcome, conditions and next step in the hero. Do not promise a fast quotation in the ad and open with a generic company story.
02 | Explain the offer in three seconds
Use “who, problem, outcome.” Replace “one-stop solution” with a specific business result.
03 | Use one primary CTA
Competing actions create decision load. Give the hero one outcome-led action and make secondary navigation quieter.
04 | Put proof beside the doubt
Place verifiable process, scope, client type, credentials or case evidence near the concern it answers.
05 | State value before asking
Explain what the visitor receives, which information is needed and how it will be used.
06 | Remove unnecessary fields
Keep only fields that change the first useful response. Collect the rest during human follow-up.
07 | Complete the journey on mobile
Test on real iPhone and Android devices: keyboards, errors, buttons, WhatsApp handoff and preserved context.
08 | Check speed and technical failure
Test assets, submission, redirects, thank-you state and scripts. A platform report does not replace a real submission.
09 | Answer the final hesitation
Cover pricing method, timing, commitment, scope and pilot options without unsupported guarantees.
10 | Prove every conversion
Track form success, WhatsApp clicks, phone clicks and bookings separately. Page views cannot prove demand.
Planning budget and timing
For Hong Kong planning, Allua may scope HK$6,000–18,000 for a one-page diagnosis and copy revision, or HK$18,000–60,000 for design, development, form and analytics implementation over roughly one to four weeks. These are planning ranges, not quotations.

Score the ad promise, page content and form, then prioritise changes. Get an editable Word version to adapt and reuse for your team.
Enter your email, choose how you’ll use the kit and confirm your consent to receive it by email.
Score each item 0 (missing), 1 (partial) or 2 (done with evidence). At 0–8, repair the basic path; at 9–14, prioritise three high-risk gaps; at 15–20, test one evidence-based hypothesis at a time.
01 | Promise match
Write down the ad and hero promises. Do audience, outcome and conditions match?
02 | Three-second clarity
Can an unfamiliar reviewer identify who the page helps and what it delivers?
03 | One primary CTA
List every button. Is one action clearly primary above the fold?
04 | Proof near doubt
Does each major concern have nearby verifiable evidence or a clear condition?
05 | Value before form
Does the form explain the deliverable, data use and next step?
06 | Essential fields only
Remove every field that does not change the first useful response.
07 | Mobile completion
Complete the path on two phones and record obstruction, errors and handoff.
08 | Technical path
Check assets, form, thank-you state and every advertising final URL.
09 | Final hesitation
Do the three most common sales objections have answers before the CTA?
10 | Conversion evidence
Does each enquiry route have its own event, success state and source trail?
Worked example
A consultancy has paid clicks but few forms. Its hero says only “professional solutions,” the form has 12 fields and mobile submit is covered. Rewrite the outcome, reduce to five fields, repair mobile and confirm the event before changing price or media simultaneously.
Frequently asked questions
Is the page worth fixing with low traffic?
Fix obvious friction, but do not treat a tiny sample as proof. Stabilise tracking and usability, then collect relevant traffic.
WhatsApp or a form?
Use WhatsApp for immediate, simple conversations and a short form for complex B2B briefs. Make the hierarchy clear.
Is shorter always better?
No. Familiar low-risk offers can be short; expensive or unfamiliar services need more proof, process and FAQs.
How often should it be reviewed?
Fix technical failures immediately. For content tests, wait for usable relevant traffic and change one main hypothesis where practical.
