Top 10 Turkey-Connected Culinary Creators: Brand Guide + Free Checklist

7 min read

Food content can make a dish memorable or help someone understand a place. Before choosing a Turkey-connected creator, decide whether the campaign needs a product demonstration, a cultural story or a bookable dining experience. Each task calls for different storytelling and deliverables.

These ten people are an editorial selection based on named work and documented connections to Turkey. The references span video, recipes, books and cultural talks; this is not a TikTok popularity ranking. A portfolio helps assess style but does not establish availability, pricing, audience or willingness to collaborate. Every collaboration concept below is an Allua proposal, not an existing commission or a guarantee of results.

1. Refika Birgül | Cookware / spices | technique demos

Born in Istanbul, Refika describes a practice centred on local ingredients, seasonality and Turkish cooking techniques, with Turkish- and English-language video channels. Her Tantuni recipe is a reference for step-by-step instruction. The Hayfene collaboration listed by Refika’dan is an existing brand case, not an Allua commission.

Official author / work platform: https://www.refikaninmutfagi.com/hakkinda; Personal YouTube channel linked by the official site: https://www.youtube.com/@refikaninmutfagi

Collaboration concept (proposal): A cookware brand could propose one recipe demonstrating two uses of a pan, with visible technique and cleaning shots. Do not claim a quantified time or energy saving without testing.

2. Arda Türkmen | Everyday ingredients | hosted tutorials

Arda's own biography records his Istanbul origins and work on the cooking programme Arda’nın Mutfağı. His official onion-and-garlic pasta video provides a concrete example of organising familiar ingredients into an accessible cooking topic.

Official author / work platform: https://www.ardaninmutfagi.com/arda-turkmen-kimdir; Personal YouTube channel linked by the official site: https://www.youtube.com/user/ArdaninMutfagi

Work reference: Soğan Sarımsaklı Makarna Tarifi Video | https://www.ardaninmutfagi.com/ardanin-mutfagi/sogan-sarimsakli-makarna-tarifi-video

Collaboration concept (proposal): An ingredient brand could propose a shopping list and a step-by-step film showing exactly when its product is used. Confirm quantities, substitutions and packaging information before production.

3. Özlem Warren | Food travel / teaching | home-table stories

Born and raised in Turkey, Özlem introduces her cooking through family meals and hospitality in Antakya. Her publisher's book page presents Southern Turkish family recipes and personal stories, offering a reference for combining food with cultural explanation.

Official author / work platform: https://ozlemsturkishtable.com/about/ | Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ozlems_turkish_table/

Work reference: Özlem’s Turkish Table: Recipes from My Homeland | https://www.gbpublishing.co.uk/product-page/ozlems-turkish-table-turkish-dishes

Collaboration concept (proposal): A cultural travel brand could propose an ingredient story paired with an understandable home demonstration. List the actual destinations and arrangements separately; a family memory is not a bookable itinerary.

4. Ayşenur Altan | Street food / cookware | home adaptations

Ayşenur's own site identifies her as an Istanbul-based chef, food writer and content creator. Her bylined Tantuni article of 28 July 2025 links to her accompanying film and adapts a Turkish street-food topic for a home kitchen.

Official author / work platform: https://www.turkishfoodtravel.com/ | Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/turkishfoodtravel/

Work reference: Homemade Tantuni Recipe (2025-07-28) | https://www.turkishfoodtravel.com/2025/07/28/homemade-tantuni/

Collaboration concept (proposal): A brand could propose a street-food-inspired home demonstration and ingredient list. Identify it as a home adaptation and base equipment use, substitutions and timing on the actual test.

5. Aylin Öney Tan | Cultural content | ingredients and place

Oxford Food Symposium identifies Aylin as a Turkish food researcher and writer. Its 2019 episode examines the cultural and historical context of poppies in Anatolia. This is a research-led audio reference, not a recent short video or brand advertisement. The organiser also links her Instagram account.

Personal account cross-linked by the organiser: https://www.instagram.com/aylinoneytan/

Collaboration concept (proposal): A cultural organisation could propose an ingredient-history interview and illustrated explainer, with agreed fact-checking and citation. Keep sensitive plant or historical topics within cultural research rather than cultivation or consumption guidance.

6. İdil Yazar | Everyday ingredients / cookware | recipe demos

Her publisher biography records a return to Turkey in 2009 and professional culinary training in 2013. Her bylined Çoban kavurma recipe, dated 11 August 2019, provides an original reference for home-cooking instruction; it is not presented as a paid brand partnership.

Work reference: Çoban kavurma tarifi (2019-08-11) | https://www.buseterim.com.tr/tr/yasam/yeme-icme/coban-kavurma-tarifi

Collaboration concept (proposal): A cookware brand could propose a stew demonstration covering preparation, pan technique and serving size, supported by a short recipe card. Agree filming and reuse rights in advance; do not copy existing recipe text or photographs.

7. Ömür Akkor | Ingredients / breakfast | culinary traditions

Written by Ömür Akkor, Best Egg Recipes is published by Blue Dome and distributed by Simon & Schuster. Its official page describes a combination of traditional Turkish egg dishes and contemporary recipes. The book supports an ingredient-and-culture angle, without establishing the size of any social audience.

Official author / work platform: https://www.simonandschuster.co.uk/authors/Omur-Akkor/242240010; Personal Instagram (linked from the creator’s website): https://www.instagram.com/omurakkor/

Work reference: Best Egg Recipes: From the Ottomans to the Contemporary Turkish Cuisine | https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Best-Egg-Recipes/Omur-Akkor/9781935295532

Collaboration concept (proposal): A breakfast ingredient brand could propose two serving occasions for one central ingredient, separating cultural explanation from product information. Any nutrition or functional claim needs evidence and cannot be inferred from the book.

8. Ebru Baybara Demir | Community projects | ingredients and people

Yale's 2025–26 profile documents Ebru's food work in Mardin, Turkey, and her Food is a Tool for Change lecture on 10 February 2025. Her work connects local ingredients and community projects. Outcomes from an existing project cannot be assigned to a new brand proposal.

Official author / work platform: https://en.ebrubaybarademir.com/; Personal Instagram (linked from the creator’s website): https://www.instagram.com/ebrubaybarademir/

Work reference: Yale: Food is a Tool for Change lecture, 10 February 2025 | https://macmillan.yale.edu/person/ebru-baybara-demir-1

Collaboration concept (proposal): A food or travel brand could propose participant-led ingredient stories with clear consent, payment and outcome reporting. Specify the brand's actual contribution and verification method instead of relying solely on emotive imagery.

9. Mehmet Gürs | Hotels / dining | ingredient-led creativity

Hotel St. George's interview describes Mehmet's Finnish and Turkish family background and experience in Istanbul. His named Food & Wine author page lists works including Green Lentil Hummus. He is included for his Turkey connection and culinary work, not described as a short-video creator living exclusively in Turkey.

Official author / work platform: https://www.foodandwine.com/author/mehmet-gurs; Personal Instagram (listed in the bylined column dated 7 July 2023): https://www.instagram.com/gursmehmet/; Account source: https://gazeteoksijen.com/gastronomi-ozel/efsane-ogle-yemeginin-perde-arkasi-182782

Work reference: Green Lentil Hummus | https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/green-lentil-hummus

Collaboration concept (proposal): A hotel could propose a story about ingredient selection and presentation linked to an actual dining experience. Explain any difference between the filmed dish and the regular menu in both the content and booking page.

10. Cenk Sönmezsoy | Baking / styling | ingredients and craft

Cenk’s own biography identifies him as an Istanbul-based author, photographer and food stylist. His original post dated 30 October 2010 describes creating brownies for Dolce & Gabbana’s digital magazine Swide. This is a creator-reported historical example, not a current partnership.

Official author / work platform: https://cafefernando.com/author/; Personal Instagram (linked from the creator’s website): https://www.instagram.com/cafefernando/

Work reference: Brownies for Dolce & Gabbana (2010-10-30) | https://cafefernando.com/brownies-for-dolce-gabbana/

Collaboration concept (proposal): A baking-ingredient brand could propose a craft demonstration explaining ingredient choices and styling steps, paired with a saveable technique card. Agree recipe development, photography, usage duration and reposting rights first; this proposal is not an accepted collaboration.

A practical brand brief

Task and audience: choose one main objective, such as product understanding, qualified dining enquiries or destination awareness. Specify market, language and cooking experience. A creator's country does not establish audience location.

Example deliverables: propose one 45–60-second vertical demonstration, a saveable ingredient card and three Stories. This is a discussion starting point, not a standard package offered by these authors. For speakers, cookbook authors or long-form creators, an interview or article may be a better fit.

Content inputs: supply the actual product, packaging, ingredients, substantiated selling points and purchase or booking destination. Specify equipment, quantities and substitution conditions. Have the appropriate responsible person review allergens, consumption or health claims; reputation is not a substitute for factual checks.

Production and review: agree on sample delivery, recipe testing, filming and one consolidated feedback round. Distinguish factual corrections from creative preferences. Clearly separate reference posts, published books and the proposed campaign so readers do not mistake earlier work for a sponsored commission.

Fees and rights: separate creation, ingredients, location, translation and travel costs. Specify permitted media, period, territory, paid promotion and editing rights. Being able to view a work does not permit downloading portraits or reprinting recipe photographs.

Measurement: assign a separate UTM to each creator and agree on reporting dates and available data. Assess product-page visits, qualified enquiries or bookings according to the objective. Views and likes do not automatically demonstrate sales.

Free six-platform checklist for food content

The existing editable Word checklist is available in English and Traditional Chinese. Each version has eight pages and 60 checks: 12 general items and eight items for each of six platforms. It is not an additional cookbook, Turkey itinerary or creator rate card. For a short-video brief, start with the general section, then use the TikTok, Instagram or YouTube section that matches the actual deliverable.

For a food brand, check captions for ingredient names and brand spelling; framing for visible preparation steps and product labels; links for the correct-language purchase or booking destination; and permissions for music, food photographs and re-editing. The checklist does not replace recipe testing or necessary professional review.

FAQ

Are these the most-followed Turkish TikTok accounts? No. This is an editorial selection across formats, not a claim to have compared every account or ranked them by popularity.

Can a cookbook author be suitable for a brand collaboration? Consider interviews, cultural content or cooking education first, then confirm the person's collaboration model. Publishing a book does not establish that an author offers short videos or social packages.

Can a brand copy photographs from the linked works into an advertisement? The public links are references only. Obtain the necessary rights before reusing portraits, food photographs, videos or book pages.

Have these creators agreed to the proposed concepts? No. The concepts are starting points for a brief. Confirm deliverables, fees, timing and permissions separately.

Does the checklist include recipes or guarantee results? No. It is a six-platform pre-publication tool, not a cookbook, licence, itinerary or sales guarantee.
